CB Lingo

  • Pocket (Right/Left)

    • This refers to cross roads, entrance ramps and places where you may expect vehicles to enter your current path of travel

  • 4, 6, 10, 18, oversize

    • The number in this context is used to refer to other vehicles on the road. Often you will hear terms like "4 times 2"(referring to 2 cars) or "18 up"/"18 back" (referring to a truck going to pass or coming the opposite direction)

  • Zipper

  • Fog

  • Mustard

  • Gator

    • Refers to a tire.

      • ie: Gator on the zipper

  • Lane#

    • Lanes are counted from left to right, including the HOV lane(unless otherwise agreed upon by the group)
